Partnership Details
Disaster Relief / NC Baptists on Mission
Through our Baptist Men and Women (BMW) ministry, Woodlanders have been engaged with disaster relief both in N.C. and beyond for many years. Last fall, we raised more than $25K to help with Hurricane Florence Relief. 100% of this money will go to those rebuilding efforts as well. Handicap Ramps Our BMW ministry also provides and installs handicap ramps for people in need throughout the community. Tri Area Food Pantry Woodland regularly collects food donations for this local food pantry in addition to coordinating the Faster than a Pastor 5K for its benefit. Mobile Food Market This ministry is a partnership of multiple churches in the Wake Forest area (including Woodland) that provides groceries to families in need once a month. |
Meet Me at the Bridge
Meet Me at the Bridge is a ministry to the homeless community of Durham. It offers regular worship services under the 147 bridge in downtown. Woodland supports this ministry by bringing hot meals and clothing donations several times a year. Operation Christmas Child Woodland serves as a collection site for this ministry that uses the power of a simple gift to share the good news of Jesus with children all over the world. Woodlanders also assemble and send hundreds of boxes each year. Faith Ministry in Mexico Since 2016, Woodlanders have built 5 homes for impoverished families in Reynosa, Mexico. For $6K, we can change lives by providing safe and stable homes. During these trips, we also share the gospel with the new home recipients and children throughout the community. Up to 140 children per year come to our VBS ministry and hear the good news of Jesus Christ. |
