Executive Pastor Candidate
The Personnel Committee is delighted to present Bruce Hall as candidate for the position of Executive Pastor. This is not a new position at Woodland Baptist Church, but it is a new title for the position, which was previously the Associate Pastor. Bruce Hall is currently an Executive Pastor in Tampa, Florida. He was previously at Franklin Heights Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, Virginia, where he was the Pastor of Missions and Next Generation Ministries. At Franklin Heights, Bruce oversaw the staff members who led the preschool, children, and youth ministries at four different campuses. He is committed to international, national, and local missions, and will help Woodland Baptist Church continue to focus our attention on the mission of the church.
Bruce was also a Worship Minister for over seven years. He has expertise in music as well as audio/visual/livestreaming. At one point, he even ran sound for the music group Styx! At his current church, Bruce designed and built the audio and video components, in addition to leading the church in its capital and building campaigns.
Bruce’s experience in the administrative, worship, age-graded, and teaching ministries of the church will be a tremendous blessing to Woodland Baptist Church.
Bruce is married to Tracy, who is an Information Technology executive for a hospital. They have one child, Tatum, who is entering the first grade. Bruce and Tracy love serving the church together, whether it is hospitality, service, or missions.
Bruce, Tracy, and Tatum will be with us this Sunday morning, beginning with a Meet and Greet in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00 AM. Bruce will be sharing in the worship service on Sunday morning. He will also be making a quick stop in the adult Community Groups. They will also be available after both the worship service and the Community Groups for you to stop by and meet him.
We are excited to have the Hall family joining us Sunday. Woodland Baptist Church will have an opportunity to extend a call to Bruce and his family to be our new Executive Pastor next week. Pray for Bruce, Tracy, and Tatum as they travel from Tampa this weekend. And pray for Woodland as we follow God’s leading in our church.
