Woodland Baptist Church is committed to serving our community as a part of the Great Commission. With the devastation from Hurricane Helene still reeling across the mountains of Western NC, we want to do our best to provide for those who need it most.
Woodland Baptist Church will be collecting donations to be delivered to the NC Mountains for Disaster Relief. We are partnering with local churches and Fire Departments in more remote areas outside of Boone and West Jefferson for this trip.
How to Give to Support Hurricane Helene Relief:
Cash donations are accepted for purchasing supplies. You can give online at https://onrealm.org/woodlandwakeforest/-/form/give/Hurricane or in person. You can also mail checks made out to Woodland Baptist Church with “Disaster Relief” in the memo.

IMMEDIATE NEED: HEATERS (PROPANE & ELECTRIC), PROPANE TANKS
We had a great trip on Friday, December 13. We delivered toys from the Toy Drive on Thursday, December 5; Tuesday, December 10; and on Friday, December 13. Thank you so much for your support and generosity. We were also able to take 15 propane heaters and 19 filled propane cylinders that were desperately needed.
This place has been serving Ashe County, into Virginia and Tennessee, by delivering by truck, ATV, and horseback to those unable to come to the warehouse. They are serving meals as well as offering supplies.
Variety of duties include, serving meals, unloading boxes, sorting/organizing, check in table, etc.
Ages 13 and up are welcome, too.
ONGOING NEEDS
There are still great needs for items such as heaters, dehumidifiers, wheelbarrows, plastic for windows, shovels, generators, large trashcans, and new normal household items.
Amazon deliveries can be addressed to Jimmy & Jeans, 230 Hice Ave., West Jefferson, NC 28694.
This warehouse is provided by a private couple with a heart for people and their community. They have put their business on hold and are very organized in meeting the needs of the people. They DESPERATELY need our support to keep this operation going by moving the supplies in the warehouse and out DIRECTLY to the people.
Any questions: please contact Alan or Kathy Woodlief (919-215-2779). This will be an ongoing need, so if you would like to sign up for possible future trips, please contact Kathy.
Thank you for providing help, hope, and healing.
