Regathering at Woodland
Phase 3 Guidelines
During Phase 3 of Woodland's Regathering Plan, we will offer an in-person worship opportunity at 10:00 AM each Sunday. For those who are not yet ready or able to regather at Woodland, a live stream of the worship service will be available on the Woodland YouTube channel, beginning at 9:45 AM each Sunday. This worship service video will also be available for later viewing on the Woodland YouTube channel.
Here’s what you can expect from us as we regather:

Here’s what you can expect from us as we regather:
- A thoroughly clean facility (all bathrooms, pews, chairs, door handles, etc. will be sanitized prior to each service).
- Appropriate, socially distant seating. Following CDC and NC Dept. of Health and Human Services guidelines, we are limiting capacity in our sanctuary to 160 people during this phase. We will also have appropriately spaced overflow seating available in the Fellowship Hall.
- Abbreviated services. The CDC has advised congregations to limit congregational singing and service length, so we will adjust our services accordingly. You can expect the service to last no longer than 40-45 minutes.
- Hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility.
- Masks for all those who may not have one. We will have volunteers stationed outside the doors who will be able to offer you cloth masks in a variety of sizes. These will be yours to keep.
- All church staff and volunteers will wear face masks and have their temperatures checked prior to the service.
- Activity/Coloring pages for children. Because we are not yet able to open our nursery or provide in-person Kids' Zone, parents will need to keep children with them for the duration of the service. We encourage parents to bring activity bags/books to supplement the pages we will provide.
Here’s what we’re asking of you:
- We are asking all attendees to wear masks that cover the mouth and nose at all times while inside the church facilities. We are not doing this out of obligation or fear but out of loving concern for one another in the body of Christ.
- Please make your way as directly as possible as you enter and exit the church in order to avoid bottlenecks. The glass entrance doors on either side of the sanctuary will be propped open before and after our services in order to facilitate movement. Our ushers will also dismiss those in attendance in an orderly fashion. If you would like to converse with other Woodlanders, please do so in the parking lot while maintaining appropriate social distance and not blocking any of the exits.
- Please take your temperature prior to attending services at Woodland. If you are running a fever or have any other cold/flu/allergy symptoms, please stay home and enjoy the service on our YouTube channel.
