Middle School and High School Students

The Student Ministry at Woodland exists to help middle school and high school students and college-aged young adults grow in their relationship with Jesus through Bible studies, fellowship, missions, and worship. Our ministry is led by a Student Ministry Leadership Team while the position of Student Minister is in transition. This Team includes parents and students who love the Student Ministry and are committed to creating an environment for faithful Christian living.
If you have any questions, please contact Tim Myers.

Pathways

Pathways is a weekly gathering for Middle School and High School students to learn Scripture, worship Jesus, and gather with each other to build community

Weekly opportunities

Sunday Morning
  • Worship - 10:00 AM
  • Sunday School - 11:15 AM
Sunday Afternoon
  • Pathways Student Worship - 5:00-6:30 PM

Retreats

Ski trips. Mountain trips. Beach trips. Lake trips. We like trips!

Missions

We hope to see every student participate in local mission efforts, a mission trip in NC or elsewhere in the United States, and a mission trip internationally by the time they graduation from high school.

Small Groups

We encourage students to meet in homes for small groups to discuss what it means to be a student following Jesus. Organic hangouts like lunch after church, Goodberry’s after Pathways, or coffee during the week make for great opportunities to build community and grow as a Christian.

Youth Ministry Safety Policy

At Woodland, we take the safety of every middle school and high school student seriously.  All of our leaders, teachers, and trip chaperones are active in the life of our church, have completed a Student Protection Training Course, and have a recent background check. We take significant precautions to ensure the safety of students in every activity and on any trip, whether local or overnight.
We are parents, too.
